Web Content Management with
TRIM Context 6
Maximise the value of your web content
Turning HTML Into Content
Dynamic, Relevant and Secure Web Content
Web Content Management (WCM) enables you to manage your website as an integral part of your overall information management architecture.
Through tight integration with TRIM Context® 6, the WCM module allows you to quickly and consistently manage your internet, intranet or extranet site via a web browser. This provides a single point of access to information for any authorised user (customer, partner, and employee) to deliver content that is highly dynamic, relevant, and secure, without the need for specialised web publishing skills.
WCM manages the content and structure of websites including the creation, editing, approval and publication processes, the framework and navigation, distributed authoring, archiving, and retrieval—all as an integral part of the TRIM Context 6 Enterprise Content Management suite.
The WCM module delivers a manageable, powerful, and efficient solution across all users from webmaster to content owners to web users.
Fast and Easy Site Administration
Initial site creation is quick and easy using WCM templates, which are reusable and support parameter driven configuration. Maintenance and enhancements are equally as simple through the use of configurable templates for consistent look and feel, navigation, and workflow.
WCM also provides automated processes for the application, maintenance, and rollout of changes. Forms management is simplified with easy web-form creation; form content is submitted directly to, and managed by, TRIM Context 6.
The enterprise-wide information architecture lets you extend enterprise compliance policies and security standards to all content, including web content, helping you apply rigorous information management and privacy controls. This provides an extra layer of security for standards and compliance requirements across multiple levels and roles.
WCM auto archiving capabilities support e-discovery preparedness, record keeping, and website management. Auto archiving into TRIM Context 6 provides the ability to find, review, and prove the authenticity of website contents at particular points in time. TRIM Context 6 supports:
- Site Archiving – the ability to schedule regular archiving of the entire website and store that in TRIM Context 6, which then applies the organisation’s compliance policy management rules to the archived information
- Page Archiving – the ability to automatically archive pages into TRIM Context 6 when the web content author creates or updates individual website pages.
Turning Content Into Business Value
Business Users Creating and Managing Content
With business rules, flexible workflow, and approval processes in place, nontechnical users can author and distribute web content. This helps encourage ownership from business users who can control both content authoring and dynamic site-menu updates without the need for technical skills or significant training.
This valuable capability eliminates traditional webmaster bottlenecks and reduces content update costs. It also results in more frequent, timely, and relevant content updates.
Site reusability is ensured through centrally maintained content structures and design. Consistency is maintained by enabling authors to deploy original content in a variety of different formats, including documents, XML, digital assets, and records. This preserves corporate style and branding through a controlled graphics library for reuse by content authors.
Distributed content authoring with flexible approval workflow in WCM enables internet, intranet, and extranet sites to be a dynamic, distributed business process while maintaining content integrity.
WCM also enables:
- Full preview and rollback capabilities
- Integration and content sourcing from TRIM Context 6
- Automated document lifecycle management
- Controlled publishing, ageing and archiving
- Site history retention
- Audit trail tracking through role-based authorisations set up in workflow
- Personalisation with automated content tagging and categorisation.
