North Warwickshire Borough Council is the first to deploy EDRM integration with Northgate's Local Land and Property Gazetteer
North Warwickshire Borough Council is the first local authority to roll out an integration between TOWER Software's TRIM Context EDRM solution and Northgate’s Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG). Completed by TOWER Software’s Professional Services team, the integration provides a crucial link to accurate property information in the LLPG which is in use by many local authorities across the UK.
Trudi Barnsley, council IT project officer, at North Warwickshire Borough Council explains: “Around 80% of the documentation within the authority needs to be indexed against a specific property. As part of the overall strategy, the council wanted officers to be able to lookup the property in the LLPG database in order to identify the correct property to file information against, rather than type in an address every time. TOWER Software completed a very detailed integration of its solution to meet the council’s specific needs that now saves around 2½ minutes per document entry. Using TRIM Context has now provided the council with a system which produces consistent, accurate results - fast.”
Tony Sumpster, Managing Director at TOWER Software EMEA added, “The TRIM Context suite of tools has always allowed the creation of custom solutions, services and integrated applications. The new Gazetteer integration is a valuable addition for our local government customers. TRIM Context enables users to institute a full text search for documents and the content of records. This solution provides the opportunity to extend line-of-business applications and to create custom documentcentric applications thus increasing the return-on-investment of information assets, such as classification systems, controlled vocabularies, and knowledge repositories. By keeping all relevant information together, its meaning is retained, resulting in the most value for a corporate knowledge base.”
