Greenwich Borough Council shrinks
its physical footprint

EDRM system supports office space consolidation
and compliance

Greenwich Borough Council has ordered a TRIM Context Electronic Document and Records Management (EDRM) system from TOWER Software to support the rationalisation of its physical office space, as well as improve customer service, move closer to regulatory compliance and enable more flexible working. The project has started with a 40 user pilot and will eventually be rolled out to all 3,500 direct council employees.

The TRIM Context system is expected to be deployed to all 3,500 users over the next two years - encompassing most job functions at the Authority. Among the first to benefit from easy access to all information will be the customer service centres and remote workers.

David Oates, Vice President for TOWER Software, EMEA commented, “As the first EDRM solution to achieve The National Archives (TNA) approval in the UK, TRIM Context has a strong pedigree among local authorities and a breadth of functionality that evens spans bar coding for the management of physical records. With its in-built workflow and Microsoft SharePoint integration features, TRIM Context often forms part of a compliance strategy for
e-government, Data Protection and Freedom of Information.”
