TOWER Software has worked closely with international organizations, developing solutions that meet customer expectations. Our world-class TRIM Context solution enables customers to comply with various standards for electronic document and records (EDRM) management. TRIM Context complies with, and has received the following accreditation/accreditation for:

International

ISO 15489, Information and Documentation — Records Management

Ensures that appropriate protection is given to all records, and that evidence and information they contain can be retrieved more efficiently and effectively, using standard procedures.

Though products can not be accredited against this standard, TRIM Context enables organizations to meet its requirements.

ISO 2788

Guidelines for the establishment and development of monolingual thesauri.

USA

DoD 5015.2 STD

TRIM Context has achieved certification under the new DoD 5015.2-STD as determined by The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC). TRIM Context is in compliance with the mandatory requirements of DoD 5015.2-STD — Chapters 2 and 4. In addition to these mandatory requirements, TRIM Context also provides all the 'Other Useful Features' found in the Non-Mandatory chapter of the standard. JITC's testing program is endorsed by The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) for testing compliance with DoD 5015.2-STD. It is DoD policy that only compliant products can be purchased by DoD organizations.

Europe

UK Public Record Office Approved Electronic Records Management Solution

TRIM Context was the first solution to be approved against the UK National Archives Electronic Records Management Functional requirements for both 1999 and 2002. Approval was gained in the core records management requirements, as well as the optional document management, physical file management and hybrid environment modules.

Asia Pacific

Victorian Electronic Records Strategy (VERS) Australia

The Victorian Electronic Records Strategy or VERS is a framework of standards, guidance and implementation projects which is centered around the goal of reliably and authentically archiving electronic records created or managed by the Victorian government.

Alphawest, a TOWER Software business partner, has developed a VERS compliant solution built on a TRIM Context foundation. Presently, this offering is the only solution to be certified against all three specifications.

New South Wales GSAS Panel Contract for Records and Information Systems, ITS 2323

TRIM Context is available under the NSW GSAS Panel Contract for Records and Information Systems, ITS 2323. By the end of the current contract, in 2006, TOWER will have supplied NSW Government agencies with their EDRM solution for 10 years. TRIM Context is the only product that has been selected more than once on the GSAS Panel Contract.

TRIM Context provides a technology solution that enables organizations to implement methodology outlined in Australian Standard AS4390. The principles found within this standard and recordkeeping traditions are those that have shaped the development of the TRIM Context solution.

NAA RecordKeeping Metadata Standard for Commonwealth Agencies

This standard is designed to be used as a reference tool by agency corporate managers, IT personnel and software vendors involved in the design, selection and implementation of electronic recordkeeping and related information management systems.
