KMWorld names TRIM as "Trend-Setting Product"

TOWER Software's TRIM Context Chosen for Innovation and Market Leadership

26th August, 2005 - Virginia, USA  - TOWER Software, a leading Enterprise Content Management company, today announced that its TRIM Context solution has been named by KMWorld Magazine as a "Trend-Setting Product" for 2005. This is the third consecutive year that the TOWER Software solution has been acknowledged as a "trend-setter" in information management.

KMWorld assembled a list of trend-setting products in several categories based on conversations with editorial colleagues, a host of analysts and users, running the gamut from C-level executives to entry-level knowledge workers. Hugh McKellar, KMWorld Editor in chief, explains “As was the case last year, we evaluated more than 200 vendors, whose combined offerings top the 1,200 mark. It bears mentioning that these are not the only trend-setting products on the market today, rather they are the ones upon which our panel agreed. And just what were the criteria for selection? As we have in years past we considered usability, flexibility, adoption rate and total cost of ownership. And we also recognized some vendors for their vision toward the future or for a collection of offerings, rather than a specific product or compelling new version of an existing one.”

The TRIM Context solution is a single, integrated platform that manages business information through its complete lifecycle. By incorporating document management, email management, image management, records management and workflow in a single, configurable application, TRIM Context empowers organizations to manage and secure their vital information assets, regardless of format. With our newest release, TRIM Context 6, we introduce the benefits of a Service Orientated Architecture; including easy deployment; and robust architecture, making TRIM Context 6 the proven platform for Enterprise Content Management.

“We are extremely proud to have been recognized by KMWorld’s ‘Trend Setters’ list every year since its inception for excellence within our market,” said Jan Rosi, President, TOWER Software, North America. “We are very excited about our new release, which supports rapid and lower risk enterprise wide deployment by providing a true zero-footprint Web Client; ice. This client provides access to all the commonly used TRIM functions through any web browser without needing a software download, enabling staff to use TRIM Context 6 from any computer.”

The complete list of Trend-Setting Products of 2005 is featured in the September 2005 issue of KMWorld magazine. It is also available on the KMWorld website at: http://www.kmworld.com.
