TOWER Software acquires WCM Technology

17th January 2006 - Canberra, Australia - TOWER Software has continued its aggressive expansion into the global Enterprise Content Management (ECM) market, with the acquisition of Web Content Management (WCM) technologies from Rapid Web Solutions. This next generation technology developed on Microsoft's .NET platform, provides TOWER Software with WCM that will shorten web site development times, facilitate the addition of content on web sites and provide a high return on investment for a low cost of ownership.

"To satisfy our expansion plans we knew we'd have to increase our ownership of ECM technologies. We researched available WCM solutions around the world and selected Rapid Web Publisher. It is an excellent fit for our customers and our ECM solution, TRIM Context 6,"said Martin Harwood, CEO TOWER Software.

TOWER Software expects strong demand from organisations seeking a WCM solution or a broader ECM solution suite with fully integrated WCM functionality.

I expect our revenues to increase by 30-35% in 2006 which is about 3 times the growth expected in the ECM marketplace according to leading Industry analyst Forrester," continued Harwood.

Rapid Web Solutions will refocus its business from software development to service delivery, and will join TOWER Software's Partner Program to deliver its ECM implementation services to the world next year.
