Vendor of Record - The Government of Ontario
TOWER Software named Vendor of Record by The Government of Ontario, Canada
January 5, 2006 - Reston Virginia – TOWER Software, the leading Enterprise Content Management (ECM) provider to government, announced today that it has been selected as a Vendor of Record (VOR) No. VOR 1007-05 to supply Records and Document Management System (R/DMS) Solutions for The Government of Ontario. The VOR arrangement has been established with a limited number of vendors to support the Government of Ontario in reaching its objectives.
The Government of Ontario is dedicated to the use of information technology to streamline the government’s business and the delivery of services to the citizens of Ontario. As electronic records become the primary, even dominant means by which government business is transacted, communicated and documented, government has identified the need for deployment of R/DMS Solutions that:
- provide comprehensive, efficient access to authoritative information across multiple business locations and across multiple information technologies and storage media (including traditional hardcopy records);
- enable efficient routing of information in support of service delivery processes;
- safeguard sensitive information against inappropriate disclosure;
- ensure the ongoing availability of records as long as they have value, while expediting disposal, and associated cost savings, when these records cease to have value;
- help support changes in business practices and culture that will in turn enable full and effective use of information resources.
TOWER Software’s TRIM Context® solution is a single, integrated platform that securely manages business information in a single repository through its complete lifecycle.
